"New Orleans Breathes Africa"

Dig it! 

My kinfolk are from New Orleans (the Verretts and the Ferdinands) so I definitely plan on copping this documentary Faubourg Tremé: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans.

"In the old days, New Orleans was picture of slavery gone wrong because the whites didn't appear to be in very much control and didn't seem to care to me. You know it was those lazy Latin white people who weren't technically too white."
